paws sticking out in prey

Alert was inspired by observations of animals (paws sticking out in prey) in Western Canada. Steven Vogel's book, Cats' Paws and Catapults: Mechanical Worlds of Nature and People also had an influence on me when creating this work. The performance took place at Main Dance Center in Vancouver, Canada under the auspices of the Professional Dance Training Program and the Meet the Choreographer Performance Series.
