For the first time, the New Slate dance concert can be watched all over the world! Multiple choreographers in the UCI Dance Department graduate program stream live and virtual dances. Fantastic, illuminating and thought-provoking, this online concert is followed by live artist-audience conversation about new ways of dance-making.

_{Some of the themes the choreographers have been focusing upon include personal confinement, imaginary worlds, human relationship with nature, and spirituality.  In many ways their choreography, delivered through the unique frame of Zoom from their varied locations, is just the exciting beginning of voicing expression during this unprecedented time. It is my hope the range of works that the choreographers present in online concert will give you a glimpse into how they are meeting such a profound challenge while turning it into a masterful opportunity.}
